My name is Kristin, and I'm an iPEC Certified Coach and I hold a B.A. in Broad-field Communications. I specialize in the challenges of life transition some of which can happen without warning. These transitions can, of course, be quite dramatic, as in cases of accidents, death, divorce, job loss, or serious illness. Other life transitions can come from positive experiences such as getting married, going away to college, starting a new job, moving to a new city, or giving birth to a child.
Often times we are happy with the status quo and so change is the last thing we want in our lives. Why rock the boat when the seas are calm? However, life doesn’t always comply with our wishes and we are forced to deal with transition, like it or not. Life events are as stressful, or not, as you make them. It’s all about how you approach and manage the shift. When changes occur, they reflect a variety of factors, and how you interpret them will determine their impact on you.
"I strive to meet my clients where they are on their personal journey; listening to their desires and dreams, uncovering their passions, setting goals and objectives, creating a game plan for success and then moving on it. I use a wide variety of tools, resources, and experiences which I have collected over time to help my clients incorporate new skills for managing these transitions."
Without change, our lives would be very boring indeed. You may not be seeking change, but when it seeks you, take heart in the fact that no one’s life ever stands completely still. People enter your world and leave it, material possessions come and go, and careers invariably involve turning points. No one ever gets through life without undergoing some type of change, so when it happens, don’t fight it.
Prior to establishing my own practice, my 30+ year professional path has included corporate leadership, team & talent development, product sales, marketing communications and brand consulting. I worked in the family beverage business at Terk Distributing and American Beverage the first 10 years of my life, then I transitioned to managing mid-size accounts at MCI-WorldCom (which I didn’t particularly care for) and so I transitioned again and spent the past 18 years in sales and marketing representation across the United States for print, digital, event and creative services. My husband and I have established multiple retail and e-commerce businesses along the way including two successful franchise locations (which he still manages today). A native Texan, born in the small west Texas town of Odessa, spent most of my adult life in Austin and currently live in Driftwood, Texas. I’m also a former barrel racer, rodeo queen, scuba diver, patent holder, and multi-hat entrepreneur who thrives on transition. My ultimate goal these days is to grow my coaching practice and to help as many people as possible lead more meaningful, harmonious and intentional lives.
